Gajah Mada University, officially established on 19 December 1949 and is a University that is nationally. In addition, the University of Gadjah Mada also act as caretaker coach and the University of Pancasila in Indonesia
At the time of founding, the University of Gadjah Mada only has six faculties, now has 18 faculties and a Graduate program (S-2 and S-3). Gadjah Mada University, including the oldest university in Indonesia, located in the Campus Bulaksumur Yogyakarta. Most of the faculty in the University of Gadjah Mada consists of several departments / sections and / or program of study. Activities of Gadjah Mada University is poured in the form of Tri Dharma University consisting of Education and Teaching, Research and Devotion to the Society.
